We are looking for a student assistant for the support of the research area “Intelligent Enterprise Systems”. Our mission is to enhance the understanding and design of these systems by exploring different kinds of feature classes (e.g., notifications, OLAP functionality, what-if analysis/ scenario-driven analysis). These research efforts are conducted from an end-user perspective in laboratory and field experiments (see also https://www.kd2lab.kit.edu/) in order to achieve effective use and improve humans’ productivity and well-being. Thereby, our research initiatives are supported by diverse industry partner like SAP or Bosch.

We are looking for a creative and committed member, who is interested in working systematically on current research topics in the field of “Intelligent Enterprise Systems”, as well as supporting the development and evaluation of the resulting innovative prototypes in order to contribute to the current body of knowledge and address real-world issues.

Skills required:

  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Java, Scala)
  • Strong interested in innovative Data & Analytics Solutions
  • Expertise in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning , operations research, econometrics, natural language processing or information retrieval
  • Self-driven, structured and analytical work ethics
  • Good language skills, German and English

The typical working time for student assistants at our chair is 20-30 hours per month and can be negotiated. Do you want to join us?
