Project Description

Through new trends and higher competition, companies are forced to rethink their business model. Especially the trend Industry 4.0 forces companies to think about how they can adapt this.

The international company “Robert Bosch AG” is aware of this situation. Together with the IISM at KIT they find new solutions of Industry 4.0 across different departments. As starting point, the current project is settled in the procurement department. There, the process of supply in maintenance is a critical point, where Industry 4.0 can help to gain more value. The IISM is supporting this transformation through its expert knowledge.

Furthermore, the developed business model transformation tool of the IISM together with the depending method provides an instrument for Bosch, that helps to keep their status as a global leader.
