Header

From 30th of May to 1th of June 2017, the twelfth International Conference on Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology (DESRIST) took place at the ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst und Medien) and was co-organized by Prof. Dr. Alexander Mädche (KIT), Prof. Dr. Jan vom Brocke (University of Lichtenstein) and Prof. Dr. Alan Hevner (University of South Florida).

This year's participants not only had the chance to follow various presentations about the latest research on design science but could test new technologies, connect with other researchers of their fields and network during a great variey of social events.

Researchers of our institute likewise partipated in the conference, presenting ongoing research activities and prototypes adressing the topics of how to design attention-aware BI&A dashboards (, ), live biofeedback for groups to support emotion management in digital collaboration (Michael Knierim, Dominik Jung, Verena Dorner), stock trading in decentralized markets (Benedikt Notheisen, Magnus Gödde), crowd forecasting to combine prediction markets and real-time delphi (Simon Kloker, Tim Straub), and anonymous collaboration in computer-supported organizational participation (Thomas Wagenknecht, Olga Levina).

The researcher team of Michael Knierim, Dominik Jung, Verena Dorner, and Christof Weinhardt were awarded with the "Best Prototypes and Products Award in Design Science Research" for their contribution. Congratulations to this great achievement!

Further information and impressions of the conference can be found on the DESRIST homepage.

We thank all participants for making their way to Karlsruhe and having an inspiring conference with valuable insights and innovative research!
