A conversational agent for youths suffering from major depression (CAYD)

The primary goal of the project is to develop a conversational agent which delivers psychotherapy for adolescents suffering from depression. The development will be based on established therapy manuals, recorded psychotherapy sessions and an iterative, patient-centered approach. The second focus is to investigate how can we personalize the conversational agent, e.g. the psychotherapeutic content or the agents' personality, to increase engagement and retention, essential for the effectiveness of internet-based interventions.
