CIT Attention Feedback

Attention Feedback for Data Exploration Tasks

Project Description

Despite the fact that having information access comes with huge potentials to support better decision-making, there are also challenges regarding users’ limited attentional resources. Existing research in the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) field highlights the importance of designing Attentive User Interfaces (AUI) to assist users’ attentional processes using eye-tracking technology. This project builds upon the disciplines of HCI, Information Systems (IS), and Psychology and follows the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology.  This project aims to design and develop innovative user interfaces that track and analyze users' eye movements in real-time and provide "Attention Feedback" to support users in reflecting their previous visual behavior and have a better information processing experience.
