Practical Seminar: Digital Experience

Course Description

In the practical seminar "Digital Experience" students will work on projects in the fields of user experience, gamification, and media narration. The seminar includes two alternative modes of innovation: 1) freely exploring the fields and their boundaries and 2) working on a real-world problem provided by an industry partner of the digital experience network. The goal of the seminar is to design interactive prototypes.

The seminar is carried out in cooperation between the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) and the Institute of Information Systems and Marketing (IISM, Prof. Mädche and Prof. Weinhardt). The students will work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of information engineering & management and industrial engineering & management bachelor students from the KIT and students from the HfG. The projects will be documented in a 10-page project report which should illustrate the project's theoretical foundation, the scientific approach as well as the practical results.

Course Schedule

Kick-Off Meeting: to be announced.

Meetings will be held alternately at the KIT and at the HfG. Further dates will be determined together with the students (compulsory attendance).
