Research Interests

I am interested in using digital tools to assess and treat mental disorders. During my PhD, I will develop a chatbot which delivers psychotherapy for adolescents suffering from depression.

My research interests can be broken down into two main areas:

  1. I aim to find out how can we personalize psychotherapy apps to treat mental disorders more effectively. This relates to (1) the psychotherapeutic content and its presentation, and (2) the customization of chatbots. Both approaches promise to increase engagement and retention, essential for the success of internet-based interventions.
  2. I'm also interested in how we can measure, assess and model depression using self-report scales, smartphone & wearable data and language from social media, instant messaging and psychotherapy sessions.

If you are interested, don't hesitate to get in touch!
